Jason Johnson
My fascination with aviation took off at age ten during a visit to Space Camp, and by fifteen, I had already earned my private pilot’s license—an early milestone that shaped my future in aeronautics. I went on to study at Dowling College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics while participating in key aviation organizations such as Alpha Eta Rho, the Dowling Flight Team, and the National Intercollegiate Flight Association.
In 2002 we founded Exclusive Charter Service, Inc., an innovative charter and aircraft sales operation currently generating over $100 million in charter sales. As its CEO, I leverage my firsthand flying experience and deep market insights to guide new aircraft owners in understanding charter market potential and identifying how best to integrate their aircraft into a charter fleet. Over my career, I have personally overseen more than 1,200 successful aircraft closings. My commitment to transparency and ensuring that every client fully understands their options before making a purchase is very important to me.
Custom Jet Charters, has further expanded my expertise in analyzing operational costs, maintenance needs, and the performance characteristics that impact overall ownership value. CJC was a 10 or more part 135 management company with over 14 aircraft on certificate. It was founded in 2012 and later sold in 2019. By combining these operational insights with my pilot’s perspective, I help clients make informed decisions that align with both their budget and performance requirements.
I believe in delivering cost-effective, high-quality aviation solutions without compromising safety or service. Whether assisting a first-time buyer or enhancing the fleet of an experienced owner, my priority remains educating clients on every aspect of the acquisition process—so they can invest with confidence and clarity.
Steven Popilek
With over 40 years of hands-on experience in General & Business Aviation, Steven Popilek has built his career around a passion for aircraft maintenance, safety, and innovation. Steve Started his Aviation journey when he Joined the United States Marine Corps in 1984 and went on to work on KC-130F/R Model Aircraft. Steve was Honorably Discharged on Sept 30th, 1988, as a Corporal & Flight Mechanic. After earning his A&P license and studying Aviation Maintenance at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Steve embarked on a journey that allowed him to collaborate with some of the industry’s most respected professionals, continuously expanding his knowledge and technical skill set.
As President of Exclusive Aircraft Sales & President and CEO of S & J Aviation Consulting, Corp., Steve provides clients a wide range of sales & consulting services—including pre-buy Visuals/Oversite, logbook reviews, and maintenance invoice analysis—to ensure clients make informed decisions when acquiring or operating aircraft. His keen eye for detail and deep understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards enable him to expertly guide owners through comprehensive pre-purchase due diligence. By combining his technical expertise with genuine client advocacy, he helps stakeholders maximize the value and safety of their aviation investments.
Steve’s commitment to the broader aviation community is further reflected in his role as Board Member and Membership Chair of the Florida Aviation Business Association (FABA). In this capacity, he actively supports initiatives that safeguard and grow the future of aviation throughout the state. Over four decades, he has also taken on leadership and consultative positions at major industry players—ranging from a Floor Mechanic to OEM/MRO sales to VP/DOM of a Corporate Flight Department—giving him a holistic perspective on aircraft operations and business aviation trends.

His guiding principles—professional integrity, dedicated service, and an unwavering focus on safety—have earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike. Whether advising first-time buyers, long-standing owners, or maintenance teams, Steve strives to deliver clear, dependable guidance that upholds the highest standards of aviation excellence.
